The commercial element of One Cluny Mews comprises seven ground-floor retail and commercial units, designed to provide flexible accommodation for a range of occupiers. Matic Building Services delivered the core mechanical, electrical and life safety infrastructure to each unit, including power, water, heating, fire alarm and security installations, providing fully serviced shells ready for tenant end fit-out and occupation.
The services infrastructure has been designed with future flexibility in mind, allowing individual units to be adapted to suit different retail, office or professional uses. Capacity, distribution routes and access arrangements have been carefully coordinated to support future alterations with minimal disruption, ensuring the commercial spaces can evolve over time while maintaining compliance, efficiency and long-term operational performance.
Matic Building Services delivered the core engineering and plantroom infrastructure for the scheme, providing resilient mechanical, electrical and life-safety systems to support the residential and commercial elements of the building. Our works included the installation of LV section boards, incorporating secondary fire-rated supplies to critical systems, alongside the combined residential sprinkler and boosted cold water (BCW) pump installation, delivering robust fire protection and domestic water resilience from a shared plant arrangement.
In addition, Matic completed the apartment Building Network Operator (BNO) installation, air conditioning to all 35 apartments, and a fully integrated Building Management System (BMS) to monitor and control key services. The engineering scope was completed with the installation of a full fire alarm system, access control, and CCTV, ensuring a safe, secure and efficiently managed residential environment.
