Matic successfully completed the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) installations for the residential apartments at Waterhouse Gardens, Manchester, a large-scale city-centre development comprising 556 high-spec apartments, duplexes and penthouses across multiple residential blocks.
Matic’s scope of works covered the full MEP fit-out of the apartments, delivering services designed to support modern, high-quality urban living. This included the installation of mechanical ventilation and domestic services to ensure occupant comfort, energy efficiency and compliance with current building regulations. Electrical works were delivered to a high specification, providing power, lighting and life-safety systems throughout all residential units.
Our works covered dedicated work and meeting facilities, delivering fully serviced workspaces, meeting rooms, and a private landscaped garden, all completed to meet the project’s performance, compliance, and quality standards.
Matic successfully delivered a comprehensive LV power distribution and electrical infrastructure installation across Blocks A–E at Waterhouse Gardens, Manchester, incorporating main LV switchboards, sub-distribution boards and life-safety distribution equipment to support the residential apartments and shared building services.
In addition, Matic installed the building cold water (BCW) tanks and pump sets, sprinkler diesel pumps and storage tanks, associated distribution pipework, and electrical submain cabling throughout the development.
Matic successfully completed the full mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) installations for the Exclusive Waterhouse Club. The scope of works included premium resident amenities such as swimming pools, squash and basketball courts, alongside high-quality social and entertainment spaces including private dining areas, a cinema room, resident lounges, and a games room.
Matic was appointed to deliver a full fire and security systems package at Waterhouse Gardens, a large-scale mixed-use residential development comprising five residential blocks and one retail block. Our scope included the design, installation, commissioning, certification, and handover of all life safety and security systems in accordance with the approved Fire Strategy, relevant British Standards, and the Building Safety Act 2022. Fire detection and alarm works comprised a fully networked fire alarm system designed to Category L5 within residential corridors for AOV activation, with Category L1 detector spacing and Category L2 coverage within amenity areas, fully integrated with AOVs, plant systems, access-controlled doors, and life safety interfaces. The works included visual and audible alarm devices, battery back-up, remote signalling, soak testing, and full system certification.
In addition, Matic delivered a networked Emergency Voice Communication System (EVCS) to support disabled refuge and WC alarm requirements, alongside a Paxton Net2 access control system and Comelit audio and video intercom system providing controlled access, concierge functionality, and fail-safe operation integrated with the fire alarm system. A Hikvision IP CCTV system was installed to provide 24/7 surveillance across perimeters, residential corridors, amenity spaces, cycle stores, and bin stores, supported by a dedicated standalone security network incorporating fibre backbone infrastructure, PoE switching, and secure data cabinets. All systems were fully tested, commissioned, and handed over with as-built documentation, O&M manuals, certification, and end-user training, delivering a fully compliant and integrated solution ready for occupation.
